Recommended build

Light Cone

Sleep Like the Dead
Best choice

Permanent CRIT DMG is useful, but the one-turn CRIT Rate buff triggers only when a Basic or Skill fails to CRIT, once every three turns; it is not activated by Soulsteel Sync.

Relics

Best choice

Permanent CRIT Rate plus direct Skill and Ultimate amplification strengthens Yanqing's two main attacks without requiring a Freeze to land.

Planar Ornaments

Best choice

At 135 SPD after Yanqing's self SPD buff, Glamoth grants ATK and the first damage tier without forcing the unrealistic 160-SPD target.

Team lineup

Best choice

Aventurine's frequent shields preserve Soulsteel Sync, Sunday advances and energizes Yanqing, and Robin amplifies the whole attack-heavy team.

AlternativeYanqing's high effective SPD builds multiple stacks, amplifying his repeated Skill and high-cost Ultimate while the permanent CRIT Rate improves downtime consistency.

No additional condition documented in this guide.

Accessible optionIts CRIT and on-kill ATK are broadly useful, but the conditional values are less tailored to Yanqing's Skill and Ultimate than the premium cone.

This five-star cone and all its Superimpositions are earned through Herta's Store.

Accessible optionRepeated Skills against one enemy build its damage bonus, giving Yanqing a practical option for single-target encounters.

Trace priority

  1. Skill
  2. Ultimate
  3. Talent

Yanqing maintains Soulsteel Sync through repeated Skills, gaining large CRIT buffs and occasional Freeze follow-ups as long as he takes no HP damage.

How to play it

  1. 1Establish Aventurine's shield before Yanqing is exposed to damage.
  2. 2Use Yanqing's Skill every turn to keep Soulsteel Sync active.
  3. 3Use the Ultimate while Sync is active, then spend the buffed following turn before its CRIT bonuses expire.

Sources and methodology

Editorial recommendations are written from released game data, then cross-checked against specialist calculations. They are not copied from a single tier list.

Review method

Character kits, equipment and conditions reviewed against released Version 4.6 data. Corrected Sleep Like the Dead: CRIT Rate after a non-CRIT Basic or Skill, once every three turns. Retained shielding and repeated Skills. Cones 21066, 23055 and 23064 are Elation, while 23063 is Remembrance; their passives are incompatible with this Path. 22008 is Hunt-compatible but Yanqing's follow-ups have only a 60% fixed chance; ten stacks are not assured. 134 neglects Skill and Ultimate. Set 133 needs single-ally targeting and buffs Elation; its team CRIT bonus needs ten Certified Banger, which this kit does not provide. Soulsteel Sync disappears on damage taken; Ultimate CRIT and shielding are not permanent. No new damage simulation or refreshed community consensus; effect review uses the exact local 4.6 snapshot, with GitHub web access unavailable. This review includes no new damage simulation; historical community-analysis consultation dates are preserved. Methodological baseline from the previous dossier (review 4.4, reference calculations 4.0): Prydwen and Icy Veins agree on shield dependence, SPD and CRIT overcap risk but order Traces differently. This guide prioritizes Skill uptime, then Ultimate burst, and treats the displayed 20% CRIT target as 100% only during Soulsteel plus Ultimate. Equipment was checked against the released 4.0–4.4 compare and exact snapshot.

Independent fan recommendations based on released data. Yanqing loses Soulsteel Sync whenever HP damage passes through his shield, so a reliable shielder is mandatory.
