Trace priority

  1. Skill
  2. Ultimate
  3. Talent
  4. Basic ATK

Dan Heng uses Skill CRITs to Slow one enemy, then cashes that state into a stronger Ultimate while his Talent rewards allied targeting with Wind RES PEN.

How to play it

  1. 1Establish Slow with Skill before setting up the Ultimate window; Skill consumes an already active Talent.
  2. 2Use Skill until the priority enemy is Slowed; avoid moving to another target while Swordplay is stacking.
  3. 3When Talent is off its two-turn cooldown, have a support target Dan Heng and immediately cast Ultimate into the Slowed target, without another attack in between.

Sources and methodology

Editorial recommendations are written from released game data, then cross-checked against specialist calculations. They are not copied from a single tier list.

Review method

Character kits, equipment and conditions reviewed against released Version 4.6 data. Scholar becomes the main choice without external debuffs; Pioneer now explicitly needs another debuffer. Rotation reserves Talent for the next attack and respects its two-turn cooldown. Heretic boosts Basics while this build uses Skill and Ultimate. Race to the Horizon cannot stack CRIT DMG on Dan Heng, who has no follow-up. The change resolves the three-debuff mismatch with Bronya/Tingyun/Huohuo; no numerical Scholar advantage over a three-debuff team is claimed. This review includes no new damage simulation; historical community-analysis consultation dates are preserved. Methodological baseline from the previous dossier (review 4.4, reference calculations 1.0): The review separates sheet CRIT from combat buffs and preserves Dan Heng's target-and-Slow sequence: ally target to prime the Talent for exactly the next attack. Establish Slow first, then trigger the available Talent immediately before Ultimate; a Skill between them consumes the RES PEN.
